De Ridder on trial with Ajax
Striker Daniël de Ridder is on trial at Amsterdam football club Ajax this week, reports Tuesday’s Parool. The 26-year-old player is hoping to return to the club where he made his debut in the 2003-2004 season.
De Ridder, who was born in Amsterdam, currently plays for English club Wigan Athletic.
Ajax manager Martin Jol has already signed striker Mounir El Hamdaoui and defender André Ooijer for the new season. And Hossam Mido looks set to sign a one-year contract pending a medical examination.
