El Hamdaoui finally signs with Ajax

Striker Mounir El Hamdaoui finally signed to join Amsterdam club Ajax on Friday after days of 'will he or won't he' uncertainty.

El Hamdaoui, who leaves AZ of Alkmaar will now be eligible to play in Saturday's Super Cup competition between Ajax and FC Twente.

The Super Cup, now known as the Johan Cruijff competition, takes place at the beginning of a new football season between the winners of the previous season's league title and the Dutch Cup.
