Ziggo 4, Tele2 win fast mobile internet frequencies

The Ziggo and UPC consortium Ziggo 4, and phone and internet service provider Tele2 have each bought four licences to operate fast mobile internet services in the government’s latest frequency auction., according to website Telecompaper.


KPN and Vodafone Libertel have each bought two licences and T-Mobile one.
The amount of money paid for the licences has not yet been made public.
According to Telecompaper, KPN is market leader in the Dutch mobile service market with around 50%, Vodafone has around 25% and T-Mobile 24%.
