MPs vote in favour of ticket tout law
Wednesday 07 April 2010
MPs on Tuesday voted in a favour of new legislation which will stop ticket bureaus making excessive profits from selling on concert and sporting event tickets.
The legislation, which still has to be approved by the upper house parliament, puts a 20% limit on any agency ticket price mark-up. People who paid more than that will be able to claim their money back, if necessary through the courts.
