Albino wallaby spotted in Frisian woods

An albino wallaby has been spotted in woods by the Frisian town of Makkinga, the Telegraaf which carries a photograph of the animal reports.

The wallaby with a baby in her pouch, was spotted by local Rene van Hes. ‘I have seen brown wallabies in the area but this is really special,’ he told the paper.
The Telegraaf says it is well known that there are wallabies living in the wild in the north of the country.
‘There are around 10 of them. They don’t cause any problems but a couple have been run over,’ a spokesman for the local council said.
