Pharming shares fall on share issue news

Shares in biotechnology company Pharming fell as much as 20% in Amsterdam on Monday after the company said it wanted to expand its share capital.
Pharming plans to hold a shareholders meeting to ask approval to 'raise the authorised share capital by 200 million shares to 400 million shares and to lower the nominal value of the shares from €0.50 to €0.04'.
The company said in a statement it wanted to generate more capital to increase flexibility in the light of expected legal and commercial changes in Europe and North America.
