Lottery told to stop health insurance promotion
Monday 15 March 2010
The postcode lottery organisation has been told to stop offering participants reductions on their health insurance by health minister Ernst Hirsch Ballin, Nos tv reports on Monday.
The minister is planning to change the gambling laws to stop the organisation competing with commercial organisations, the Nos says.
Last year, some 100,000 people were thought to have taken advantage of the reduced health insurance premiums offered by the lottery organisation.

Why is the government hell bent on stopping companies offering a cheaper product to consumers. Do they seriously want their citizens to pay and pay and pay through the nose? They make it mandatory for us all to pay insurance for crappy healthcare....now they want to prevent me from being able to buy cheaper insurance from whomever is willing to provide it!! Where has Capitalism gone.....certainly cannot be seen anywhere in Holland
