Half a million homes hit by cable problems
Wednesday 17 March 2010
Some 500,000 homes were left without television and radio for a time on Tuesday evening because of problems at cable company Ziggo.
Homes in the eastern provinces were hit by the breakdown. Internet and telephone services were also affected, Nos tv said.
The cause of the breakdown is now being investigated. A spokesman told Nos that a back-up system which should have prevented screens going dark also failed to kick in.
