Fortis Bank Nederland announced on Thursday a net loss of €23m for the second half of 2009, including a write-off of bad debts of €220m. Over 2009 as a whole bad debts amounted to €412m.


Fortis Nederland was nationalised by the Dutch state in October 2008 which paid €16.8bn for the acquisition. It is currently being merged into ABN Amro.
