Student in court over fingerprint data base

A 24-year-old student is going to court because he refuses to allow his fingerprints to be included in a data base, the Volkskrant reports on Tuesday.

Aaron Boudewijn has been refused a new passport because he won’t let officials take his fingerprints. ‘They can put my fingerprints in my passport but I do not want them being included in a data base,’ he told the paper.
Unlike in other European countries, all the Dutch fingerprints will eventually be held in a central data bank which police will be able to access to help with solving crime.
