CDA wants tougher rules for refugees

Tuesday 26 January 2010

integration, refugees, criminals, Albayrak

The ruling Christian Democrat party (CDA) wants tougher measures for refugees in the Netherlands who commit crimes, reports Tuesday’s Telegraaf.

On Wednesday MPs will discuss proposals by the junior minister for integration, Nebahat Albayrak (Labour), who wants refugees to be deported if they break the law five crimes or commit crimes with a total prison sentence of one month in their first year in the Netherlands.

But the CDA says this does not go far enough and wants refugees who commit two crimes, however small, within a year to be immediately deported.

‘Even if it’s stealing a packet of liquorice it’s shoplifting, and often it doesn’t stop there. We must prevent people starting off a criminal career in our country,’ CDA MP Sybrand van Haersma Buma is quoted by the Telegraaf as saying.

Albayrak’s proposals on deporting criminals are aimed at refugees who have committed serious crimes but include a system under which those who consistently break the law with minor offences can also be extradited.

The CDA wants this system for petty crimes to be tougher and not just limited to the first year of a refugee’s stay in the Netherlands.

‘People come here as guests. This means they ought to behave in a certain way,’ the paper quotes van Haersma Buma as saying.

If the UN-Christian guv wants to impose tougher penalties on only refugees, then that is discrimination against foreigners.

At least there is no agenda mentioned for bringing back capital punishment or implementing Sharia law!

Obviously as a foreigner from another country, you are in a way representing that country and should consider your conduct, or face a penalty.

So Gert Wilders does have some influence after all!

CDA is feeling the heat of PVV at the back of their necks so they decide to try to steal PVV ideas which everyone knows this idea came from PVV in the first place. It shows CDA is desperate and hypocritical.

Why not the same rules for all inhabitants here? Why should a Dutch person get 100 chances and a foreigner 3?
