Motorists warned about snow and black ice

Snow will fall over most parts of the country over the next few days, with black ice forming in some places, the KNMI weather bureau said on Wednesday.

In coastal areas rain or sleet are more likely.
Although few problems are expected on the roads on Wednesday evening, Thursday’s rush hour could face considerable disruption, the KNMI said.
Snow began to fall in the north of the country on Wednesday afternoon.
The KNMI said it is still too soon to say if the Netherlands will enjoy a white Christmas. To qualify, snow has to fall at the De Bilt weather station on both December 25 and 26, news agency ANP said.
The last time its snowed on both days was in 1981.
