Twente player was over drink limit

Monday 30 November 2009

FC Twente midfielder Theo Janssen was over the alcohol limit when he crashed his car last weekend, injuring himself and three fellow passengers, news agency ANP reports on Monday.

Blood tests show that Janssen had 0.08% blood alcohol content, well above the legal limit of 0.05%, ANP said. Janssen broke his nose and received cuts and bruises in the crash. One of the other passengers is still seriously ill in hospital.

FC Twente, currently leading the Dutch premier division, has suspected Janssen until the end of January. The public prosecution department is currently looking into what action to take.

'I have been extremely stupid,' Janssen told ANP. 'I drank beer after the match to celebrate and then got into the car. This should never have happened.'

Hi, in respect of this "FC Twente, currently leading the Dutch premier division, has suspected Janssen until the end of January." should "suspended" be used in place of "suspected"?
