October was mild, say weather bureaus
The average temperature in October was 10.7 Celsius, almost half a degree warmer than normal, says weather office KNMI.
But the amount of rain and sunshine was in line with seasonal expectations, the KNMI said.
The highest temperature was measured in Eindhoven and Volkel in Noord-Brabant, when it reached 22 Celsius on October 7. The coldest place was Twente airfield, where the temperature fell to minus 5 Celsius on October 15.
