Fewer people set for skiing holiday

Fewer than one million Dutch nationals are set to head for the ski slopes this winter, compared with 1.1 million in 2007 before the economic crisis hit, the ANWB motoring organisation said on Tuesday.

Last year, one million people from the Netherlands had a winter break.
Some 50% of Dutch skiers head for Austria, with France and Germany in second and third place. Switzerland is fourth in the winter holiday popularity stakes, followed by the cheaper Czech Republic.
