Labour sinks to lowest level in polls

Monday 12 October 2009

The Labour party (PvdA) would win just 13 seats if there was a general election tomorrow, its worst showing since the party was founded in 1946, according to the latest Maurice de Hond opinion poll.

The party currently has 33 seats in the 150-seat lower house of parliament.

De Hond carried out the poll because there is growing unease about the functioning of parliamentary party leader Mariëtte Hamer. Last week, it emerged party stalwart Diederik Samsom had emailed MPs about the 'deplorable state' of the party and calling for action.

According to De Hond, some 60% of Labour voters want Hamer to be replaced by Samsom.

At a party meeting on Saturday, chairmwoman Liliane Ploumen said the party would not be 'driven crazy' by the claims. And there was no talk of a 'crisis meeting', sources told the Volkskrant.

The next big test of popular support for the Labour party will come at the local council elections in March 2010.

Like replacing Hamer would fix the problem? PVDA mp´s do not get it! Representing yourselves as a labor party when you received votes in the past, have so angered many people who use to support pvda but now they feel betrayed because you went from a left wing partij to a far right wanna be partij, thinking you can pick up PVV voters, Well, obviously that doesn´t work for you and had the opposite affect, nobody trusts you idiots! You mistrepresented yourselves as being liberal left wing and then changed almost over night, and now nobody will ever trust you again because PVDA lost all credibility! Wouter Bos is the problem, not Hamer! after deceiving those very voters who gave you that taste of power, it is Wouter Bos and his far right wanna be cronies who destroyed PVDA credibility.

Just like the U.K. then ? Obviously the Labour parties have had their day. Us citizens have had enough of them treating us like idiots.

Labour RIP

What surprises me is the fact that PVV was more for the workers then PVDA! Wouter Bos was totally for the increase in retirement age 65 to 67 and PVV against it. I am with you Karl, Labour RIP

THE PVV said that it will fight the retirement age increase simply because they will get a few more votes. The reality is that Wilders' Party has only one agenda, attacking Islam and Muslims and close the borders, that is all.

Watch parliament and you will see they are involved in nothing else. Remember Wilders does not debate.

"The reality is that Wilders' Party has only one agenda, attacking Islam and Muslims and close the borders, that is all."

The man is brilliant and should be hailed for doing exactly that.

"Remember Wilders does not debate."
Remember Islam does not debate - it only demands.
