Borsato’s company on verge of bankruptcy

Singer Marco Borsato’s entertainment firm is on the verge of bankruptcy and has asked for court protection from creditors.

The singer said he is ‘knocked for six and disappointed’ at the news. The company is in trouble after taking over a string of small firms which have since gone bankrupt, Nos tv writes on its website.
If the company – The Entertainment Group – does collapse, it will have serious consequences for Borsato, who is a shareholder and a guarantor for €6m of its debts. He set the firm up 15 years ago, according to the Volkskrant.
The pending bankruptcy means a number of concerts, including Diana Ross’s Symphonica in Rosso performance, may be in doubt, Nos says.
