Staffing agency USG People books loss

Staffing agency USG People booked a loss of €6m in the second quarter of this year, compared with earnings of €32m in the year-earlier period.

The company said in a statement the loss was largely due to the cost of a reorganisation programme. Turnover was down almost a third at €722m.
The loss is USG’s third in a row.
Nevertheless, USG said demand for interim staff was not dropping as sharply as it had earlier in the year and there was stabilisation in other markets. USG earns 45% of turnover in the Netherlands and said it saw a slight improvement in the domestic temporary employment sector.
