Over 50 swimmers rescued from North Sea
Thursday 02 July 2009
At least 50 swimmers have been pulled from the North Sea at the seaside resorts of Kijkduin and Scheveningen in The Hague over the past two days, Nos tv reports.
Thirty-one people were rescued on Wednesday alone and two, a 16-year-old girl and 20-year-old woman, are still in hospital.
Many people are getting into trouble because the north-easterly wind is causing strong currents at low tide, police told Nos.
