New owners for Golden Tulip hotels

New owners have been found for 12 of the 13 Golden Tulip hotels in the Netherlands, following the hospitality chain’s bankruptcy in May.

The hotels are being sold to a number of different groups and most will probably continue with the name Golden Tulip, the curator said.
Meanwhile, Britain’s Starwood group, which is negotiating to take over the 57 franchise hotels, has asked for more time to carry out a review of the books.
Golden Tulip, originally a Dutch company, has 780 hotels worldwide and applied for court protection from creditors in March.
