Netherlands beats England at cricket

The Netherlands beat England by four wickets in the opening match of the ICC World Twenty20 cricket tournament at Lords cricket ground in London on Friday evening.

The loss is England’s ‘most ignominious cricketing defeat of all time’, the BBC reported.
Twenty20 is a short, action-packed form of the game which is growing in popularity. Each team only gets one innings lasting 20 overs to bat. With six balls in an over, that means each innings is made up of 120 balls, or deliveries.
Games tend to be high-scoring, with totals of around 150 seen as a minimum for the batting side.
‘Everything is faster, more hectic. Cricket is no longer that long drawn-out, slightly dull game,’ Dutch player Bas Zuiderent told the NRC before the match.
