Inflation falls to 1.6% in May

The official Dutch inflation rate fell further to 1.6% in May, the national statistics office CBS said on Thursday.


In April, the annual inflation rate was 1.8%.
Nevertheless, inflation in the Netherlands is still high among EU countries. In the eurozone as a whole the inflation rate has fallen to zero, its lowest level since a European-wide system of calculating inflation was introduced, news agency ANP said.
