Partrust Beheer accused of investment fraud

The financial services authority AFM has made a formal complaint to the public prosecution service about investment fraud involving Partrust Beheer, Nos tv reports.

The AFM says the Breda-based firm is involved in pyramid selling in which the money from new investors is used to pay off the older ones. In total, 300 people have invested €300m in Partrust, the AFM says.
The fund has applied for court protection from creditors.
The case against Partrust is one of 10 the AFM is currently investigating, Nos says.
