Fine for threats against Wilders

An Amsterdam magistrate has fined a 32-year-old man €385 for sending a threatening email to Geert Wilders, leader of the anti-Islam party PVV, in 2007.

‘We want you, Kalashnikov 47’ and ‘Napoleon, last week you escaped… we almost had you,’ the email said, according to news agency ANP.
The public prosecution department said the threat was a serious fact. ‘ Even if you do not agree with a politician, this way of threatening someone had a great impact on Wilders,’ the department said.
In February three boys aged 12 and 13 were given community service of 50 hours for posting threats against MP Geert Wilders on his website.
