Call for compulsory contraception

Council officials in Rotterdam are discussing a highly controversial report suggesting ‘unsuitable mothers’ should be forced to have a contraceptive injection, the AD reports on Tuesday.

The biggest opposition party Leefbaar Rotterdam backs compulsory contraception, the ruling Labour party has not taken a formal standpoint and the Christian Democrats are opposed, the paper says.

Or better yet, unsuitable fathers should learn some self control...to put it politely!

Who, and how would "unsuitable" be determined? The last thing that the Netherlands needs is one more lunatic law. How about enforcing the "normal" ones like going after gangs of punks who think it is allowable sport to intimidate, rob and ridicule Dutch society?
