Amsterdam canals nominated for Unesco list

The Dutch government is to apply to Unesco to have the canals area of central Amsterdam included on the list of world heritage sites.


The decision was reached on Friday, says Trouw.
Amsterdam has been trying for several years to have its 17th century centre included on the list.
