Bildenberg chairman tipped to head Fortis

Etienne Davignon, chairman of the Bildenberg Group and a close friend of Fortis' former CEO Maurice Lippens, is being tipped to take over the helm at what is left of the financial services rump company, the Financieele Dagblad reports on Wednesday.
Other potential candidates for the job of Fortis CEO are Philippe Bodson, Filip Dierckz and Dutchman Jan-Michiel Hessels who heded the Vendex retail group until 2000.
