US ambassador sees Obama winningFriday 24 October 2008 America's ambassador to the Netherlands James Culbertson thinks Barack Obamba will win the US presidential election, the AD newspaper reports. Republican Culbertson said during an AD readers' conference that 'if I had to make a bet, I am afraid I would not put my money on John McCain', the paper said. © DutchNews.nl
Hank Kemp's screed is a series of lies, race baiting and misleading statements that has caused so many good, honest Americans to turn their back in disgust to his kind. He pretends to be just another American when he says "we've had our butts kicked by Wall Street" and "politicians in Washington." Ummm, Wall Street was basically unregulated thanks to REPUBLICAN laws as well as the Republican ideology that always favored the Gamblers and debt-hungry gamblers on Wall Street over even the most minimal Government regulation. The Republicans tied the hands of Government. Government was is a victim as much as the people, because the government in an elected institution IS THE PEOPLE. Republicans appointed people who OPPOSED IN EVERY WAY the duties of many of the executive offices they were appointed to uphold the law the will of the people. That meant an ANTI-Environmentalist in charge of our national parks for example. He says our "leftist media????" In the USA we have the American Corporate Media Establishment (ACNE for short) whose loyalty lies to the Republican party, and which makes every effort to focus the Attn. of Americans on the trivial and pointless in order to distract them from the thieving Republican ways in our Government. In Europe just how bad our media is seems impossible to understand. If Americans seem close minded, uneducated it's because we HAVE NO FREE PRESS TO SPEAK OF. 90% of Americans have to depend on a media that has the same philosophical point of view of Austria's recently deceased Haider except that he's far more moderate than the example this clown chose. Glen Beck is another insane loon who thinks forcing women to have babies is just punishment for daring to have sex. AFter all women know what happens when you have sex. He's the type that blames the middle class problems on their being lazy rather than being overwhelmed by confusing choices in a "free market" in whixh 90% of the offers are cons designed to steal from you rather than deliver a worthwhile good or service. Hank Kemp says this is the dirtiest election ever...... and with that he proves his ignorance of the history of American election sis worse than his detachment from reality. Ever since this nation was founded a couple very short centuries ago, elections have been brutal. Mudslinging the norm. The only deviation was the Republithug tactic to decry this as wrong in order NOT to change anything, but prevent the other side from responding to their vile lies and deception in kind. His comment about not trusting government is pathetic in that its his Republicans who have controlled Government and shaped the actions of our Government for over 26 years. Even Bill Clinton's influence was extremely limited, and compared to GW Bush, Clinton was powerless. His REPUBLICANS have caused Government to fail in its role so miserably, because that was/is their goal. They wanted all Americans to lose faith totally in the ONE institution in any nation that the people have direct control over via their vote. If they had succeeded, then Republicans would have won and finally established the world's first Kleptocracy run by thieves in the Republican party. THey came close, but Americans have awakened after being drugged by Republican liars like him, and know that it was the Republican laws that destroyed the Government's ability to function in its rightful role as the voice of the people in a capitalist economy that has brought so much disaster. Democrats were UNable to pass a single bill during the first 6 YEARS under Bush. The last two years, they've been able to get passed only a few but all with MAJOR, MASSIVE compromises to get enough Republicans to go along to prevent Bush from Vetoing. For 8 long years, this nation has been ruled by ONE PARTY, and ONE PARty who has passed every single law using its own extreme social right wing and extremist fiscal ideology as a measure of how the law should be written. Only an extremely ignorant, uneducated American could say the Democrats ruled under Bill Clinton, because the Republicans had LARGE majorities in at least 1 house during his presidency. That meant, NOTHING Bill Clinton wanted to do was EVER done the way he or the Democrats wanted. If a bill was passed it was always with massive rewriting to make the Kleptocratic Republicans happy. Then prior to Bill Clinton we had 12 years of Republican presidents with token opposition for about 1/2 the time when Democrats regained SMALL majorities in the house or the Senate. Unlike the Republican majorities under Bush or Clinton, the Democrats NEVER had OVERWHELMING #s that could translate their majority control in either house into a functioning power base from which they could exert any sort of control over law creation. The most Democrats could do was stall, and even then they lost. It was less than 3yrs ago that Republicans were so full of themselves they were about to end a long tradition of minority rights and eliminate the need by voice vote the requirement of 60 votes, a super majority, to end debate on any bill. Democratic fortunes had sunk so low (ironically the year Obama was elected to the senate) that they could NOT even protect themselves from a simple voice vote to strip senators of their LAST defense against being run over by the ideological social right wing extremists lead by the Haider-like Senator Frist of Tennessee, a man of great intelligence, but one who used it to justify socially repressive and kleptocratic rule making by his majority Republican party. He says Obama refuses to answer questions. That is A LIE. Obama has answered over and over again. The problem this man has is Obama will NOT give the answer he wants to hear. He believes that is the truth, regardless of how foolish and illogical it may be. By Jonathanseer | October 27, 2008 1:07 AM

I agree with James Culbertson that Obama most likely will win. If McCain wins, it would be the biggest upset in history.
I would want this to happen, but I'm a realist.
Maybe the United States is ready for an Obama guy, totally supported by the leftist media and if elected, believed by the majority of the voters.
The majority who have not been thinking further than their noses are long, because if they believe that Obama will stick with the promises he made and were they voted on, they believe in fairy tales.
No way can he do what he is promising, because simply, there is not money for it, unless he taxes the people and the industry in a massive way.
For some reason, even though they have been kicked in the butt by Wall Street and the politicians in Washington, people are still believing in them and supporting them, which is simply amazing.
Then, when you see politicians accused of being crooked, in charge to solve the problems cause by their own crooked performance, you have to wonder what has happened to sanity, honesty and integrity.
Are we that dumb to do something about this?
When the possible president to be elected talks about tax cuts and politicians in his own party involved in financing, are saying on TV that next year we may have massive tax increases, you wonder why people support that party.
The population is angry which what is going on, but not angry enough to do something about it.
I feel bad for the people who got duped and lost a lot of their money but then, after listening to Glenn Beck, who week after week warned people of exactly what happened, I consider myself fortunate having believed in him and got out before it fell apart.
When politicians told us on TV that everything was just fine and that people who are warning us are just full of it and even encouraging to invest in an already doomed system and believing it, were asking for punishment, which is exactly what they got.
Once it is all over and we no longer have to listen to the political rhetoric, this election will go down in history as the dirtiest ever.
When om one side we have a candidate who has refused to answer questions about his past and his association with shady figures, totally supported by the media without questions asked, accompanied by a running mate who says more dumb things than Carter has pills, you wonder what the matter is with people supporting that candidate.
When the left were sending reporters to Alaska to see if they could drum up some dirt on McCain's running mate for negative campaigning and after they returned empty handed, resorted to creating dirt and lies, some of them vile and vicious, you wonder why there is no outcry about this.
It makes you wonder what Colin Powell meant when he complained about negative attacks by his own party on his newly found protege.
People who do not see the smoke blowing in this area, just don't want to face reality.
The right has been harsh in criticism, some of it not even worthwhile, or unimportant, but the left did it with meanness, with the intend to intentionally harm.
That is the difference between left and right.
So, America is ready for Obama who claims wanting to make this country whole again if he does what he says, but will damage it with the attitude of what he does, not being honest and truthful.
Some scary and interesting times are ahead.
November 4 will be the starting date.
