KPMG Holland to join European merger
Friday 03 October 2008
The 208 partners at the accountancy firm KPMG Nederland have agreed to merge with the European KPMG operation which was set up last year, the Financieele Dagblad reports on Friday.
The European arm is made up of the British, German, Swiss and Spanish units.
A year ago, Dutch partners voted against the merger.
The Dutch partners’ chairman Herman Dijkhuizen told the paper that the move will give them ‘much easier access to the best specialists in our European firms’.
