Friday 05 September 2008
Pop station Q-music has won this year’s Marconi radio award for best station. BNR’s prime time news show On The Move show was voted best programme and Rob Tripp of public broadcaster Radio 1 was named best presenter for his ‘sharp but non-preaching’ style.
At another award ceremony, the trio Jeugd Van Tegenwoordig (youth of today) won this year’s 3VOOR12 prize for best Dutch album. The jury praised De Machine for its ‘funny but clever’ texts and ‘tight beats’.
