Graduates can become teachers more easily

University graduates who take a degree in education alongside their bachelor's degree will be able to teach at secondary schools without going to a traditional teacher training college.

The move is part of new education ministry plans and means graduates will not need to take the so-called pabo course. The new degree in education will start at Utrecht University next year.
