Storm causes damage in south and east

High winds, heavy rain and hail caused some damage in Arnhem and in the east of the country on Sunday afternoon.

The storm front, with winds of up to 90 kph, hit Limburg around 3pm, where the temperature had been around 30 Celsius, news agency ANP reports. Hailstones the size of ping pong balls were reported in some places, where they damaged cars. A number of trees were also blown over.
