Staples raises bid for Corporate Express
US office supplies firm Staples on Tuesday increased its offer for Dutch peer Corporate Express from €8 to €9.15, valuing the company at €1.7bn.
It is the second time Staples has upped its offer for Corporate Express, which described earlier bids as too low.
Corporate Express, meanwhile, is attempting to head off the takeover by itself buying French office supplies group Lyreco for €1.7bn.
