One in four walk or bike to work

Tuesday 24 June 2008

Some 500,000 people – or 6% of all employees - would like to change jobs in order to avoid traffic jams, according to research carried out for staffing agency Randstad.

Some 20% of the 809 people polled said they did not get enough sleep because it took so long to get to work either by car or public transport. However, one in four of those polled cycled or walked to work and one in three never had problems with jams.

Public trasport is expensive (compared to the quality they offer) and inconsistent i.e. check bus driver strikes lately.
With 2 lane highways, in a country that is so much populated doesnt help either..thus..make roads!!!!!!!!!
