Missionary nun sister Josefa beatified

Some 4,000 people were in Tegelen on Sunday to witness the beatification of Hendrina Stenmans, better known as sister Josefa, by the Bishop of Roermond.

Stenmanns, born in Germany, was one of the cofounders of the Missionary Sisters Servants of the Holy Spirit. She died of an asthma attack in 1903.
