Full review of nurse murders ordered

The top advisor to the Dutch High Court has ordered a review of all seven murder and three attempted murder convictions handed down to nurse Lucia de B in 2006.

De B was convicted largely on statistical evidence derived from the death of a baby. The law official said that because the death of the baby is no longer considered to be murder, all other alleged murders should also be revised.
Lucia de B was released from jail in April when it emerged that the High Court would be asked to review at least some aspects of the case. Academics and statisticians campaigned for her release. She has been in jail for over six years.
