Dutch economy in good shape, says IMF

The Dutch economy is expected to weather the current global financial turmoil fairly well and will continue to outpace growth in the rest of the EU, according to a report by the International Monetary Fund.

The IMF maintained earlier forecasts of 2.1% growth this year and 1.6% in 2009.
Rabobank economists said on Thursday that the economy will grow 2.5% this year and above 2% in 2009. They also warned of the inflationary effect of high wage demands.
