‘CIA ran secret operations in Holland’Thursday 12 June 2008 The American secret service CIA ran secret operations in the Netherlands without informing the Dutch authorities, the Telegraaf reports on Thursday. The conflict led to the CIA chief in The Hague leaving the country in 2005, the paper says, quoting ‘well-informed sources’. It says the affair has been kept quiet so as not to damage the relationship between the two countries. The chairwoman of the government’s secret service supervisory committee confirmed the CIA chief was replaced, the paper says. The CIA’s involvement in clandestine activities emerged when Dutch security agents were working on the spreading of nuclear technology, the Telegraaf claims, without giving dates. At one point, Dutch security officials had installed secret cameras and microphones at the house of a businessman, when the CIA suddenly arrived to do the same thing. The paper says that the new CIA chief has a ‘more diplomatic’ approach to his work. © DutchNews.nl

What an unbelievable news this is.
Imagine the journalistic value of this from: 'well informed sources' news in the Telegraaf is. Wow, this all happened in 2005 and we already found out?
The only thing I found missing was what kind of mega pixle secret cameras were used.
I'm thankfull that no damage was done between the two countries and that we all can look forwards to Friday, when Holland will defeat France.
