Two yachts sink, seven rescued
Thursday 01 May 2008
Coastguards rescued four people from a sinking yacht off the coast of IJmuiden on Wednesday night.
A few hours later, three people were taken from a yacht some nine km west of Zandvoort, news agency ANP reports.
A spokesman said the first boat may have been hit by a freighter, which had not noticed the accident. The source of the second boat’s problems, which began taking on water, are not yet known.
