China, Holland to end illegal waste exports
The Netherlands and China are to work together on curbing the illegal export of waste from the Netherlands to Asia.
In Beijing on Friday, the two countries signed an agreement on exchanging information and monitoring waste shipments, news agency ANP reports.
ANP says large volumes of paper, plastic and metal waste is shipped to China for recycling but that non-recyclable waste is often included as well.
