MPs concerned about Verdonk's funding
Thursday 20 March 2008
MPs from across the political spectrum have called on Rita Verdonk to be more open about funding for her political movement Trots op Nederland, the Volkskrant reported on Thursday.
Money and sponsorship is being raised for TON via a limited company Favorita BV, set up by Verdonk’s supporters. While what Verdonk was doing was not illegal, it did get around the rules applying to political parties and was not transparent, MPs said.
‘Ordinary parties get state funding,’ a spokesman for Favorita told the paper. ‘TON does not. That is a deliberate choice.’

That is so cheap for MPs to be so low as to try to attack Rita Verdonks funding. She is not getting any government funding so what is the big deal? This is simply jealousy that Ms. Verdonk has a majority of the peoples voice who want to vote for her, and some people are so desperate to try to discredit her! Leave Rita Verdonk be, we trust her and not the current government so get use to it!
