GVB voted worst public transport firm
Friday 14 March 2008
Amsterdam’s public transport company GVB is the worst in the country, according to research under 70,000 people by the transport sector’s trade paper OV-magazine.
The best performer is privately-owned Nijmegen bus firm Novio.
‘The picture is clear. Private bus companies score some half a point more than the local council-owned providers who have not had to compete for a contract,’ the magazine concludes.

This is absolutely right. One can check it on any Tram Halt waiting for a tram or bus. They never came on time and one will freeze in the cold. Some of the tram drivers drive like Formula 1 drivers.
