Foreign minister meets Muslim ambassadorsMonday 31 March 2008 Foreign minister Maxime Verhgagen has held talks in the Hague with 26 ambassadors from countries with a significant Muslim population, news agency ANP reports. The meeting follows protests about Geert Wilders' anti-Islam film which was released on the internet on Thursday. Among those at the gathering were the ambassadors from Egypt, Indonesia, Iran, Jordan, Malaysia, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Sudan and Turkey, ANP says. Verhagen is reported to have outlined the government's official position on Wilders' film Fitna. 'The problem is not the religion [Islam] but the misuse of the religion to spread hatred,' Verhagen is reported as saying. He urged the ambassadors to take steps to protect Dutch diplomatic missions and property abroad. 'Let us keep a cool head and a warm relationship'.

I do hope that Verhagen asked those leaders why they support terrorism and the killing of people simply beause they don't believe in Islam. Radical Muslims are so intolerant that they don't deserve to be tolerated. By Anon | April 2, 2008 3:50 PM Place your comments: |

Verhangen needs to allocate a portion of his budget to the education of a large portion of the native Dutch population on other cultures and on truly integrating non European Dutch citizens. The nation that created Appartheid has a lot to proove to the rest of the world. Having a couple of social workers combing the getthos will not do it. A severe positive action program has to be implemented with quotas of Dutch of Moroccan and Turkish heritage in government administrations, military ans private sector. wilders is showuing the true face of the exclusive and blindly racist Dutch culture that wiped out millions for nutmeg and feathers in Indonesia and South Africa.
