CPB: economic growth to hit 2.25%

Wednesday 19 March 2008

The Dutch economy will grow 2.25% this year and 1.75% in 2009, according to the latest estimates from the government's economic policy unit CPB.

In addition, the Netherlands will 'unavoidably' be affected by the consequences of the US credit crisis later this year, CPB director Coen Teulings told the NRC.

The CPB also expects unemployment to go up slightly next year to 4% of the working population.
