ASMI shareholder attacks board
Monday 31 March 2008
ASMI shareholder Hermes has called for the sacking of five members of the chip maker's supervisory board and its chairman Chuck del Prado.
Hermes wants the issue placed on the agenda at ASMI's annual general meeting in May.
The company is under attack from a number of activist shareholders which want to split off its poorly-performing front end division which manufactures chip-making machinery.

I was recently in a traffic vehicle accident, slightly modest, but I rear-ended someone. I was cited for Failure To Maintain Assured Clear Distance. Could there be any reason I shouldn't just plead guilty and pay the fine? It seems pretty cut-and-dry.
