Rotterdam taxis are to be fitted with cameras on their roofs in an effort to crack down on crime directed at drivers.

Taxi company RTC said it did not know whether external cameras were allowed but was going ahead with the experiement anyway.
There have been a number of instances of taxis being stolen while the driver was not in the car.
