Hessels to chair Philips' supervisory board

Jan-Michiel Hessels has been appopinted chairman of the supervisory board at electronics group Philips, replacing Wim de Kleuver.

Hessels, chairman of retailer Vendex KBB between 1990 and 2000, is also chairman of the NYSE Euronext supervisory board.
