Englishmen jailed for firing arrows

Thursday 07 February 2008

Two Englishmen have been sentenced to nine and eight months in jail by an Amsterdam court for firing arrows at passers by.

John Costello (24) was also found guilty of drugs dealing and money laundering while Craig Brown (23) was found guilty of possessing illegal weapons.

The arrows slightly injured four people. The men were caught after their final victim, kick-boxing champion Remy Bonjasky, followed their minibus in a taxi.

Police also found 4.5 kg of marijuana, €16,000 in cash and a gun at the men's home.

I'm getting more and more right wing since passing 30. Only nine months in jail for attacking people with arrows, laundering money, drug dealing and illegally owning a gun???

Message to James - Apparently you don't live in The Netherlands. I do, and I'm surprised it was more than a fine.
