British photographer wins World Press
British photographer Tim Hetherington has won the World Press Photo 2007 award for a picture of an American soldier in a bunker in Afghanistan, the Amsterdam-based organisation said on Friday.
A record 5,019 photographers from 125 countries were entered in the competition. The winning photos will go on show in the capital’s Oude Kerk from April 29.
