One in five job applicants fiddle their cvs

One in five Dutch people applying for a new job 'play with the truth' on their cvs by leaving out negative details or exaggerating the size of their pay cheques, according to research by staffing agency Kelly.

A cv is a job seeker's advertisement of him or herself. Why should he or she put negative details in his or her cv? Besides, many employers have unrealistic expectations of the people they want to hire.
